seriously. it makes sense. get the 6 year olds into it, and they might do it for life or for awhile, and not selling them a huffy trash heap. you have a pair for getting yourself involved, but your a smart man for doing so(in my opinion).

on a different note. do you remember that kid mike janeiro from lowell, MA who won rooftop for a day, way back when bike parts were purposely made heavy? i know him haha.

hahahaha... my first time on this message board, and i see my name... wow.

Yea, that day was awesome cuz back in the day everyone is young and impressionable. it was awkward having a pro at my house, but it was definately a good day getting all the local riders together for it. we should definately have rode street in boston instead of going to that shitty skatepark (litchfield)

hey rory - i heard your getting flow from SBC... this true??

Mike, i forgot to ask, but what was the deal with Citizen?? and in my opinion, they should re-release dirty deeds. great video

Default what's a title

"The most upsetting thing to me is not that Tony hawk is involved in this, its that our own industry “big wigs” meaning companies with high profile riders or owners didn’t set forth to try and do this first, hopefully this will open the doors for them to do so. We are the ones running bmx. We should be the ones benefiting. But so far no one will step up. Sad."

given the size of most bmx company's, aside from a few big one's specialized and whatnot, wouldn't that be a pretty expensive market to be getting into? i suppose building 70 something different models has to be a pretty big investment?

Do you feel that 2008 will be the year to bring back the curly fro and sideburns and ride street with knee pads? Or is the bmx world just not ready for that awesomeness yet?
Did you ever pull a 900? I remember reading someplace you wanting to do a 900 to fakie or something..

Thanks for inventing the crooked grind.. I'd be pretty bummed if it didn't exist..

He did a 720 to fakie on a quarter to wedge set up for a Ride interview and the caption said that he wanted a 900 but had to settle for the 720 fakie instead. Which isn't saying he never pulled a 900 but if he did, I never saw one.

22 years ago me and a friend of mine jumped 4 cars,we pretty much knew that was about the max we could go peddaling. We also knew that a helicopter was about the same jump,so my buddy decided to spread the rumor that we was going to jump a helicopter with blades spining. The next year i broke my fermur bone jumping 2 cars(landed half on the ramp, half off) in front of about 3 thousand people, needless to say the heli stunt went out the door.that was between 85 and 87

My question to you is how did you think of backfliping a copter or did someone give you the ideal or did our rumor travel that far?

and yes i am a old fucker 40 years young and still riding

Default more answers

1.no etnies doesnt still make my shoe

2.for a while i was on this kick where i was planning on doing a 900 over a spine back when i was all about 720's on spines sometime around 1999-2000
now saying that im sure it will happen soon....i think its pretty rad that so many kids do 900's on mini's....pretty amazing actually

3.no i didnt hear about your helicopter jump idea, sorry. its was a random thought that i thought they would say no to it and didnt

4.timokanefoto-good question
i completely understand what your saying, to clarify what i hope for in the future is that the big box shops see how the responce is to the Huck Jam bikes and start exploring there options on getting more action sport products endorsed by high profile athletes. yes 74 different models is a lot but its a whole line from 16 in. all the way t 29 in. there is plenty of room after becoming more familiar with the subject for smaller opportunities. i dont think it would be out of the question for there to be mirraco bikes or even felt with scotty's success. and thats just naming 2. hopefully one day this will be a reality. imagine if our industry could take even 30% of that business. thats over 3 million bikes.

5.not sure what kat charges for tats these days, i think the rate in the shop is 200 an hour.she is prob a bit more. she's pretty good with hooking up her friends though

6.don'tjive
yes your wrong
